Help Maui Rise: Direct Aid For Displaced ʻOhana 🚨

The fires in Kula and in Lāhainā are an unspeakable tragedy.

Our prayers are with those who’ve lost family, friends, and homes.

Last week in our newsletter, we highlighted three great nonprofits providing aid: Hawaii Community Foundation, Maui United Way, and the Maui Food Bank.

This week, a different approach:

Help Maui Rise has compiled a list of GoFundMe fundraisers for families affected by the fire.

It’s a grassroots, volunteer effort by Sam Feyen, Kenna Reed and Gabby Pascual.

They were three citizens concerned that resources would be slow in coming to the families affected by the fire.

They worked with GoFundMe to verify the campaigns.

And their efforts have attracted national attention as a model of effective aid.

Your contributions go straight to the families, no nonprofit intermediary.

Grassroots efforts like this are what make Hawai‘i great.

Please support.
